Custom wheels in Lausanne and the canton of Vaud
Electrobike Zone is a bike and e-bike workshop in Prilly, on the edge of Lausanne. We build custom wheels for cyclists across French-speaking Switzerland: front or rear wheels for road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes or cargo bikes. Every wheel is hand-built in our workshop, using DT Swiss hubs, rims and spokes chosen for the way you ride.
Custom e-bike wheels, anywhere in Switzerland
E-bikes put more stress on their wheels: extra weight, motor torque and repeated braking. We build strong e-bike wheels, with reinforced spokes when the wheel carries a motor. You order online from anywhere in Switzerland, we build the wheel and post it to you, or you can collect it in Prilly.
Wheel building on your own hub
Already have a hub, for example the motor hub from an electric conversion kit? We will lace it into a new rim at the same build price. We also rebuild existing wheels: broken spokes, worn rim or a buckled wheel. Only need spokes? We cut DT Swiss spokes to length, and you can find our spoke sets in the Wheels and tyres collection.

Frequently asked questions about custom wheels
How much does a custom-built wheel cost?
Wheel building (lacing, tensioning and truing) costs CHF 130 per wheel. The hub, rim and spokes are added at the shop price. The configurator shows the total before you order.
Can you lace my motor hub?
Yes. Choose "I'll send my hub" in the configurator, then post it or bring it to the workshop with your order number. The build price is the same, and we use reinforced spokes for motor hubs.
How long does it take?
Usually 5 to 10 working days. If you supply your own hub, the lead time starts once we receive it. A part marked "special order" may extend the lead time slightly.
Do I need to know the spoke length?
No. For a complete wheel, the workshop calculates the exact spoke length. If you are only ordering spokes, give the length measured as shown in the diagram on the product page.
Do you post wheels?
Yes, we ship within Switzerland. You can also collect your wheel from the workshop at avenue de la Rapille 2 in Prilly.
Do you also repair existing wheels?
Yes: broken spoke, buckled wheel, worn rim. Send us a photo via the form or on WhatsApp at 021 946 10 30 and we will give you a quote.
What if the part I'm looking for isn't in the configurator?
